Why Sensei Dave

Nothing about this work is theoretical.

Foster care. Juvenile detention. Group homes. Homelessness. The loss of his mother at twelve. Dave knows what it is to be the young person adults are trying to reach.

He also knows what can happen next. Over a 24 year Air Force career, he rose into leadership roles that included Inspector General and NATO experience. He built martial arts schools, became a published author and championship speaker, founded a nonprofit, and continued to serve through a cancer diagnosis.

That combination gives him unusual credibility. He can speak to the young person, the professional, and the leader because he has lived all three perspectives.
